We teach Combat Sambo — a martial art developed in the Soviet Union that combines grappling (throws, takedowns, ground technique) and striking into one integrated system. We run structured programs for youth athletes (ages 5–17), adult athletes (ages 18+), and community-focused programming for young people who could benefit most from a structured, supportive activity.

We sanction and organize Combat Sambo competitions across the United States, beginning in Florida and expanding nationally. Our competitions are conducted under Florida's regulatory framework for amateur combat sports (Chapter 548, F.S. and Rule 61K1-4, F.A.C.), with plans to expand to additional states as CSL grows.

Combat Sambo — a discipline with real depth, a distinctive technical identity, and growing international recognition — didn't have a structured, organized presence in the United States. CS Combat Sambo League exists to change that.

Before CSL was an organization with a trademark and written standards, it was a training space — people on a mat, learning a discipline that for many of them was completely new. That starting point still shapes how we think about everything else: every policy, every certification level, every piece of paperwork exists to support what happens on the mat, not the other way around.

• Written standards — not just culture.
  CSL maintains a comprehensive Standards & Safety Manual, Youth and Adult Combat Sambo Programs, an Instructor Standards Manual, and an Affiliate & License Manual. These documents apply at every CSL location, independently of any individual being in the room on a given day.
• Certified and screened instructors.
  Every CSL instructor who works with minors completes Level 2 background screening and SafeSport certification before any contact with participants.
• Regulatory compliance from day one.
  CSL built its competition standards around Florida's Amateur MMA regulatory framework from the outset — not as an afterthought, but as the foundation those standards are written on.
• A program for everyone.
  Youth athletes developing confidence and coordination. Adults training for fitness, skill, and self-defense. Athletes preparing for sanctioned competition. Community programs for young people who need structure and support. All of these are real CSL programs, not stepping stones to something else.

Combat Sambo Internationally:
Combat Sambo is governed internationally by FIAS — the International Sambo Federation — which has received recognition from the International Olympic Committee. CSL is part of a growing global community of Combat Sambo practitioners and organizations bringing this discipline to new audiences worldwide.
